Perspectives Inc.

Perspective Debate Incorporated a 501 (c) (3) non profit was founded in 2005 with the mission to promote youth debate education as an opportunity to promote youth achievement, civic education, and student success.  The organization was started by two former debaters, Alexander McCobin and Lilly Deng.  Perspectives serve students in the Philadelphia and mid-Atlantic region through various programs. 

 

Perspectives year round programs include after school programs with area high schools, participating high schools include; Ben Franklin HS, Parkway Center City HS, Bodine HS, Science and Leadership Academy and others. Saturday Seminars which are free of cost and providing the community with resources on debating.  For more info on the Saturday Seminars, send an inquiry to alok@philadebate.org.

 

In addition to the programs offered year round Perspectives also offers summer programs and a Winter Institute.  The summer programs include the Philadelphia Debate Institute, Senior Fellow Program, Judges-Coaches Training, and a Community Voices Day.  Late applications are now being accepted for the summer Philadelphia Debate Institute until Friday, May 9, 2008 at 11:59 pm.  Click here for application and more information.
