The Philadelphia Children's Foundation has exciting internship opportunities for students interested in nonprofit work.

PCF is seeking college students and recent graduates to fill the following positions:

The Program & Development Intern will participate in all aspects of PCF’s operations. This is an opportunity to gain hands on experience in all major areas of nonprofit work, from program development to promotions, event planning, fundraising, and website development. Activities include soliciting sponsors and advertisers for an annual regatta fundraiser, distributing materials to the public, writing and publishing a monthly newsletter, performing data entry, and expanding PCF’s resource website. Requirements: 5 to 20 hours per week for a full semester, Internet research experience, verbal and written communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and ability to multitask.

The Campus Rep. Intern will be responsible for establishing, building and maintaining relationships with on-campus departments/organizations that will benefit the mission of PCF and the students whom we serve. The intern will solicit partnerships with local schools, make cold calls, visit campuses, attend events, and meet with college administrators. Requirements: 2 to 5 hours per week for a full semester, excellent time management, follow-up, and organizational skills. Professional demeanor, communication skills, and ability to work independently a MUST. Established presence on campus a PLUS but not required.

The Career Club Intern will coordinate PCF’s after school program at Germantown High School. The intern will recruit program facilitators, maintain contact with school officials, coordinate dates and times, and attend career club meetings once a month. Requirements: 5 to 20 hours per week for a full semester, organizational skills, ability to work independently, and interest in working with youth.
