What: A free inschool program that prepares high school students for higher education and career development. The 2010-2011 Career Clubs will feature facilitators from Widener University, Bryn Mawr College, Aria School of Nursing, University of the Sciences, and many more institutions, and cover such topics as college preparation, resume writing, interviewing skills, choosing a major, and professionalism.
Where: Student Success Centers at Germantown High School & Thomas Edison High School
When: Once a month from September to December 2010 (Session 1), & January to May 2010 (Session 2)

What: A free program that donates 1,000 new books to public elementary schools in Philadelphia, and features special presentations by local politicians and community leaders. 186th Student Achievement College Fair
What: Hosted by Representative Kenyatta Johnson and the School District of Philadelphia, this fair will feature 30 colleges and universities, including state system of higher education schools and historically black colleges and universities. There will be workshops for students and parents about choosing the right college, applying to college, and applying for financial aid and scholarships.
