FAMILY PRESERVATION PROGRAM. The Family Preservation Program supports family recovery from the effects of substance abuse. Specialized individual, group, family, and children's activities are provided for chemically dependent individuals and their families. Services allow individuals the opportunity to receive treatment within their communities while still maintaining consistency in their work and family lives. UNIVERSITY CITY COUNSELING CENTER /SOUTHWEST COUNSELING CENTER. The Southwest Counseling Center assists individuals with substance abuse issues at a convenient location. Services are designed for consumers to receive treatment within their community while working and living at home. Individual, group, family, and co-dependency therapy is available, as well as medication monitoring. Self-help groups and referrals to rehabilitation programs are also offered. METHADONE TREATMENT. The purpose of the Opioid Treatment Program is to assist narcotic dependent persons in eliminating their use of heroin, modifying the behaviors related to its use, and providing a treatment experience that assists them in making decisions that support a healthy and productive lifestyle.
