Apprenticeship program takes place over a five year period. It involves 10,000 hours of instruction at union job sites and 880 hours of day and evening classes. During the program an apprentice learns about the history of labor movement, tools and their use, sprinkler theory, rigging, and other topics. Applicants must b e 18 years old and must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
