"The Recycle NOW Philadelphia Campaign is a public information, education and civic action campaign whose goal is the citywide implementation of the Recycle Bank™ program, providing weekly, curbside recycling for every resident of Philadelphia. The initial objective of the Campaign is to demonstrate overwhelming public support for the Recycle Bank™ program to secure the commitment of elected officials to bring pressure on the Mayor to implement the program."
"The Recycle NOW Philadelphia Campaign is a project of the Recycling Alliance of Philadelphia and Chaired by Maurice Sampson, the City of Philadelphia's first Recycling Coordinator (1985-1987). The Recycling Alliance of Philadelphia was founded in 2000, the Alliance as "a coalition of environmental, civic and business organizations and individuals allied to promote expanded recycling in Philadelphia to improve the environment, the economy and the quality of life in our City"."
