"The Philadelphia VA Medical Center (PVAMC) is a VA tertiary referral center for the eastern half of the VA Stars & Stripes Healthcare Network, VISN 4. The Medical Center provides health care for more than 370,000 veterans living in America's fifth largest metropolitan area and surrounding seven counties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Community Based Outpatient Clinics are located in Horsham, Pennsylvania, and Gloucester and Fort Dix, New Jersey. The Medical Center has 135 operating beds, and supports a 240-bed Nursing Home Care Unit."

Philadelphia VAMC is home to a Polytrauma Rehabilitation Network Site and provides a high level of expert care, and clinical and ancillary resources for the OIF/OEF veteran population."
