Superintendent's Parent Roundtables give parents an opportunity to meet and speak with the Superintendent of The School District of Philadelphia, Arlene Ackerman. Parents can ask questions, participate in decision making, attend professional development, share ideas and concerns and get updates on key initiatives. The Parent University of Philadelphia offers free classes, workshops, certification courses and an associate degree to accelerate student and parent learning outcomes and strengthen parenting skills and knowledge. The Multilingual Family Support is committed to insuring equity for students whose primary language is other than English and to strengthening connections with multilingual families and communities. For more information call (215) 400-4180. The Parent and Community Resource Center is staffed by multilingual personnel who provide one-on-one help with student and school related information.
