Grow spiritually. Counselors
introduce campers to the gospel through creative and fun activities
that leave a lasting impression. One of the most popular activities is
the weekly Jesus Walk in which campers hike through the woods and learn
about the life of Jesus as portrayed through skits along the way.
Enjoy the serene, natural surroundings. Camp
Ladore encompasses 1,400 acres of beautiful woodlands, trails and a
265-acre lake. Activities such as kayaking, swimming, hiking, and ropes
challenge courses help children develop confidence, promote physical
fitness and instill the value of teamwork. Additional activities include
arts-n-crafts, basketball, soccer, volleyball, fishing, music
instruction, hay rides, and bible study.
Owned and operated by the Salvation Army since 1967, weeklong camp
experiences are offered for children ages 7 through 12, with specialized
wilderness programs for those 13 through 17 years of age.
